SCENIC SUNDAYS: Living Waters

Happy New Year and Happy Sunday Morning to you!

He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.   John 7:38

Drinking at the Springs of Living Water
John W. Peterson

I thirsted in the barren land of sin and shame,
And nothing satisfying there I found;
But to the blessed cross of Christ one day I came,
Where springs of living water did abound.

Chorus
Drinking at the springs of living water,
Happy now am I, my soul they satisfy;
Drinking at the springs of living water,
O wonderful and bountiful supply.
How sweet the living water from the hills of God,
It makes me glad and happy all the way;
Now glory, grace and blessing mark the path I've trod,
I'm shouting Hallelujah every day.

Chorus
Drinking at the springs of living water,
Happy now am I, my soul they satisfy;
Drinking at the springs of living water,
O wonderful and bountiful supply.
O sinner, won't you come today to Calvary?
A fountain there is flowing deep and wide;
The Saviour now invites you to the water free,
Where thirsting spirits can be satisfied.

Are you humming the tune to that hymn yet?

Yes! I'm commenting! Your pictures are beautiful (as usual) I can almost hear the waterfall.

I tried to comment on your last few posts but was having an awful time with blogger. I've been trying to thank you for the kind words you have left for me and to let you know that I noticed how stinkin' cute that little Levi is!!! The picture you took of his blue eyes...oh my! Congrats to your Jamie for staying home with him....the hardest, yet easiest, decision we ever make and will rarely ever regret. Happy New Year to you my friend!

That last picture is especially fabulous. The song took me way back to my high school days...And the John 7:38 verse is so important to remember and claim.
