Simple Summertime Contentment....

A basketful of vegetables fresh from the garden...still warm from the sun, set on the table in the kitchen, ready to make a simple dinner...

A beautiful page on the August Gooseberry patch calendar...reflecting what's sitting on my kitchen table...

Sweet gifts to savor from a good friend...

A lawn freshly mowed...grass so cool beneath my bare feet.

Laundry hung on the line dried in the breeze, pressed by the sun...

Watching a doe and her fawn playing way out in the field just before sunset...

These are the source of contentment for me this beautiful summer day.

What brings you contentment?

I loved this post and I love your blog! I miss having a clothesline. I enjoy fresh veggies from the garden, I write on my blog a lot about it's the simple things in life that mean the most.

I find contentment in a beautiful sunrise or sunset. I live near the Smokey Mountains, Gatlinburg and I can see the mountains as I drive into our neighborhhod. Fall is my fav time of year and I love to drive around and see the different colors on the leaves.

Have a blessed day!

This is such a lovely post especially for this time of year. I love your first photo of the vegetables from your garden. It doesn't get much better than that.

of year that brings on a reflective time must be the transition form summer to school and Fall.

Beautiful music, being outside in the garden (if there are NO snakes in sight!), eating homegrown food, reading of other's contentment and LIFE! :)
Blessings, Aimee
Love the clothesline photo--good colors!

Contentment to me at this season of my life is my two daughters being at home with me....and my fuzzy kitty cat. Being with close friends and family is fantastic too! :)
