Farmhouse Diner: Garden Delight Dinner

TONIGHT'S SPECIAL
Fresh Peaches & Cream sweet corn soaked in butter
Fried yellow squash
Sliced tomatoes
Green beans
New red potatoes
Sliced tomatoes
Sliced cukes
Green pepper slivers

Bust your buttons on that meal....wooooweeeee!

This was dinner tonight...all out of our garden except for the sweet corn...we bought that today from a man who had the back of his pickup truck full of it, freshly picked! My sister Mary came down last night and spent the night and we spent the better part of the day garage-saling today. I will show you her huge haul tomorrow...we had a good time looking, in spite of the rain.

Hi I really enjoy your blog - we have so much in common.. I love your quotes by the founding fathers of our country, you are a very interesting person, I am talking to my sister about your blog, she is going to try to find your blog so she can follow it too.

Hello, looks like a delish dinner to me. I love how you froze your green beans. We don't like them canned either so we freeze them blanching them first. Your way looks much faster. Were going to buy a Seal a Meal. Did you read the Shack yet? I saw it on your I Pod, I loved it, best book I've read in a long time.
BLess you, Shirl

Oh my.....I am wishin' I was your neighbor, and then I would be wishin I was invited for supper!! You did all that while still making a new kitchen? Geesh, you are good! You have a pkg on the way by the way and a lil' something extra, My hubs and I are off for a date night tomorrow to see the Alman Bros. in concert so I will be away but let me know when it arrives. Have a great weekend!

What a delicious meal - nothing better than a homecooked meal from the garden. I don't know about you, but I'm going to miss all the fresh garden produce! Just maybe not the work that goes with it ;-) can't wait to see the garage-sale finds! Been meaning to do that myself lately! -tammy

Ooooh!! That sounds so good!! I wish I had planted more in my garden this year. Fresh picked corn out of the back of a truck is much better than the frozen kind in the store. : 0
