The Kid in Me....

Sometimes, the kid in me says:

"Joni, go ahead and...

reach for the old Flint Stone juice glass,
skip the cracks in the sidewalk...
make faces at yourself in the mirror,
eat candy that's really sour,
skip across the yard,
(and that feels a little more jiggly now than it did then!)
blow bubbles with your gum",
or
"It's okay, step right into that fresh puddle."

(And when I do, that little kid in me giggles.)

Because really,
all I am
is
a
little
kid

who
time
made

to
grow
up
up!

In what little ways do you enjoy the little kid that's still left inside of YOU?

Hi,
Just stopping in for a minute this morning before going to a tech workshop. Found your blog through "Sweet Sassy Sadie Lee. I wanted to tell you that I love your home. I too live in an old home. Actually, my great-grandparents', which part of the house is pre-civil war. I love my house. I am getting some ideas from you and will be back to visit real soon. Have a great weekend.

We were talking about these glasses the other night. I remember tweety bird was my favorite glass.

The little kid in me loves to mix peanut butter and marshmallow cream and lick it off the spoon.
She also likes to play on a really big swing. ;D

Thanks for your sweet comments on my kitchen. I found your blog a while ago, but somehow I lost track of it - won't let that happen again!

I'm a BIG kid at heart. I color in coloring books, watch old cartoons and look for shapes in the clouds!

Have a nice weekend!

Love to blow bubbles with the liquid stuff, hate chewing gum though. I splash in mud puddles, rough house with the dogs, sit on the pasture and kiss sheep noses, cuddle with kittens, drink chocolate milk, dunk cookies in my milk, lie on my back and look for things in the clouds...the list is endless.
How dull it must be to forget how to be a child.

I love to cut and paste construstion paper things. I also love children's crafts. Makes me feel right at home when I am making, painting, drawing and cutting.
My favorite is using my grandmother's old dishes. Makes me feel she is close to me.
