What would President's Day be without some...
Presidential Wisdom?
It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible.
--George Washington
"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves."
--Abraham Lincoln
The ultimate determinant in the struggle now going on for the world will be not bombs and rockets but a test of wills and ideas--a trial of spiritual resolve: the values we hold, the beliefs we cherish, and the ideals to which we are dedicated.
--Ronald Reagan
Are we up to the struggle?

Winter's blowing back in this weekend. The wind started blowing hard yesterday and brought COLD with it. Snow and high winds are due here tomorrow, and more snow on Monday morning.
I had planned this weekend to head up north to photograph the snow and ice on Lake Michigan's shore line, but spring came in and melted off the snow this week.
I'm working on Plan B. It's President's weekend so something fun will have to pop into my head to do one day this weekend!
What are YOU up to?

We will be packing again this weekend...another move on the horizon, but I am hoping this is the last one (for a while!)....Have a great day!
I'm in the same boat you are. 58 degrees yesterday, 17 today with 50 mph winds and snow. Such a teaser day yesterday. Today I dug my hands in the potting soil and re-potted an African violet and a cyclamen. I enjoyed inhaling the smell of dirt!
I couldn't believe the change from yesterday to this morning when I first let the dogs out. Brrr...
No plans here. We're tapping trees early this years, so my husband and a friend tapped about 100 trees yesterday. I'm only a helper in that operation. :-)
Folks need to listen to some good, old-fashioned Presidential wisdom right now! Things are getting a bit crazed in our nation lately!
Enjoy the nice temperatures. We're having a warm spell here and it is delightful.
The warmer weather makes people want to dig into the earth and turn the soil, in anticipation of planting the first seeds of spring, but here in the buckets state, spring is still sways off. Many times, we've had our worst snowstorm at the end of march, although I think it would be hard to top this winter so far.
