Simple Pleasures: Dancing in the Kitchen

I am a woman of simple tastes.
And I married the man with the same inclination.

I don't need a lot of dates, a couple times a year is fine, a movie, or dinner, but never both at one time, except for a rare occasion.

I enjoy drives in the country, and appreciate his patience in stopping to let me take pictures; but the best thing in the world, for me, is an occasional slow-dance in the kitchen to the tunes on the radio.

No one can make me as sentimental as Alan Jackson when he sings "Remember When"...

How about you?

I think we're soul sisters! It's the little things in life that make it wonderful. Like dancing in the kitchen or a heartfelt thank you for a not so special meal. Loved this entry.

The kitchen is my favorite room, anyway! Even though we don't dance in the kitchen, (we are neither one dancers!), we do enjoy the simple stuff, and we sit on the front porch a lot.

Oh my! That song along with the video will make me cry every time. Such a sentimental song. Especially when you have been together a looong time and have lots of memories along the way. Children all grown up and with there own families, the loss of loved ones. Good and bad times. It is great to see couples together after so many years. Good luck with your "dates", sounds like you are enjoying life. Blessings ~Sara

Joni,
I so agree! Simple things are wonderful, and nights that we have a romantic date at home we always dance.
Sweet and romantic.

I absolutely cannot listen to that song! When I hear the first few notes, I rush to change the station. Makes me cry every time!
