Corny. All The Way.

There are a few things about me that you should know before Christmas hits.

I am a cheese ball when it comes to Christmas.  Or is it cornball?

I am cheesy, corny, totally traditional.

I must confess.

I am so cheesy/corny that I watch Hallmark movies.

There. I said it.

Don't judge.  I bet you eat fruitcake.  So there.

And I feel so much better having said it, but now have turned totally red, ending this color with volcanic temps on my my ears which are flaming and painful at the tippy top.

So are you a total cheesy cornball at Christmastime?

Do you go all swoony when you hear the first lines of that famous Christmas tune....."I'm dreaming of a white Christmas..." too?

Go ahead, it's okay. I won't tell anyone if you watch Rudolph, and get all giddy when you see old-fashioned Christmas lights...

I understand, I think we all have our weaknesses.

And glitter.  Glitter goes with Christmas.  I literally go weak in the knees over it, collecting tubes of it like candy in a stocking.

What do you go all cornball for?

Oh...and one more thing, I can totally get lost in little scenes like these on Christmas cards.  Especially snowy ones.

After all, it's a "Marshmallow World"...who could resist?

You?

You're not the only one. I too swoon when Bing Crosby sings White Christmas, but my knees wobble when Mel Torme sings The Christmas Song.

Yep, I am cheesy, corny and traditional. I not only eat fruitcake, I make fruitcake. I have a Christmas movie lineup. I still put my children's homemade ornaments from school on the tree. I love all your vintage cards and I still hang all my stockings even though my grown children think I shouldn't. Oh yeah, I watch the Hallmark Christmas movies too!

Lovin' the old Christmas cards. I am in love with cheeseballs since my hubby and I met over a cheeseball 35 Christmas eves ago, in England, when we were in the Air Force. And I love fudge, which I make myself. I love watching all the Christmas specials...old Rudolph with Burl Ives, Frosty the Snowman, the Charlie Brown Christmas and I have two Christmas Carol movies....the Muppets, with Michael Cain as Scrooge, and one with Patrick Stewart as Scrooge. I don't eat fruit cake. I make a Bishop Bread that's like fruit cake but has dates, raisins and cranberries in it. YUM! Enjoy the beauty of this Christmas season! This year I am watching A Wonderful Life all the way through this time. I've never seen the whole thing....ever! :0_

Joni,
Cheesy, corny...bring it on! Mister will indulge me with watching the Hallmark movies. Scenes on old cards...I can get lost in them!
Love the baking and the decorating.
Oh, and I look forward to seeing your farmhouse wreathed in snow. As a matter of fact, I keep the little card that came with your Amish cookbook giveaway on display year round!

Another total cheezy cornball here! Vintage Christmas card scenes can actually make me swoon! Just bought some new ones yesterday that were packaged where you could only see the front and back one. Oh, if you could have only seen me going through the stack! They bring me such joy! Thanks for sharing yours!

I am the corniest person I know, when it comes to Christmas. I have to buy just ONE more (right) ornament, and have to make gingerbread boys, sugar cookies, mint sandwich cookies, and several other kinds. Have to decorate every room, even hang a wreath in the bathroom!
We either go to see the out of state grandchildren, or they come here. Being with the kids and playing "Catch Phrase" is so much fun. Oh, yes, Christmas is definitely the jolliest time of year!

I can get all meloncholoy at "I'll Be Home For Christmas". I believe it was written during WWII, and of course, all the soldiers across the globe, wanted to be home, and all the wives, mothers, etc wanted them home. I love the old fashioned Christmas colors, cards, decorations (1950-ish, right?) I think you and I are from the same era. Just something about those big, blue, red, green, and yellow lights that graced the old Christmas tree.

Thank you for sharing! I saw this on Pinterest and Love it! I, like you, enjoy all things Christmas. Those pictures remind me of memories of my childhood Christmas's and the pureness of those years. It is the way that Christmas heals, renews and embraces us in the purest feeling of Love for one another. Celebrating Christ's birth and the Good News He gives us!
