School's Out, School's Out....!

This is something we'd loudly chant on the bus on the way home from school on the very last day...(accompanied by one of the happiest, most jubilant feelings a kid can have....FREEDOM! Maybe even better than that feeling felt on Christmas Eve!).

Now that I'm older, I have sympathy for the poor bus driver, there was an occasional stray water-balloon lobbed her way (never by me!). I'm sure she was glad to have a break from the kids, too!

School's out! School's out!
Teacher let the fools out!
No more pencils,
No more books,
No more teacher's dirty looks!

MY BABY IS NOW AN EIGHTH GRADER!
Where does the time go?

Hootie Hoo! I love it when school's out! Mine are 4 & 7 and I am just so excited to spend the summer with them at home all day. (Until like the 2nd week when they're fighting and tattling and bored all day! :-) )
