Cozy @ Home: Morning Light

Here in Michigan, we've had an unusual run of sunny, beautiful, pleasant fall days.

It's not something I take for granted, believe me. It's been such a blessing.

One morning, I was having my coffee and running through the house doing my chores, and I started to notice the beautiful shadows the morning light was casting over the rooms that face east and I just had to go get the camera.

(I sometimes wonder if I have what they call ADD, but then I remember that photographers are easily distracted by beautiful lighting.)

SO, you get to enjoy with me the morning light and the shadows it cast and the glow that it held over me that day...it's a powerful thing and I drink it in like a thirsty kid after a long basketball game.

Because, soon...sunny mornings will not be anything we can count on, they will become fewer and fewer and more rare. Gray will be the norm.

(These are the only silk flowers I've allowed myself to have in my house...Kim at Daisy Cottage said it was okay. ;>)

The morning light is so nice on the outside, too....there's a shot of our house from about a half mile out, the bean fields have been cut in the past couple days, leaving the fields with nice tan corduroy rows.

There's the morning light hitting the top of the neighbor's farm, peaking up over the top of the corn crop...

Oh, hello deers!
(They must like the morning light, too!)

We have so much in common. I can't tell you how much I love the morning shadows or how many shadow pics I have taken.
I'll bet you drink tea sometimes istead of coffee... just guessing.

Inside your home, the light is so welcoming, warm and seasonal! I'm going to go back now and imagine myself there!
