Footprints...

This adorable little foot has its imprint all over my heart.

Levi Jack
One day old

The little fists, those beautiful blue eyes...the precious little wrinkled forehead and all that velvety hair are imprinted on my heart and the love I feel? Indescribable!

Mom is doing well, and baby is nursing wonderfully! It's so neat to watch your child become a parent: rewarding when you watch them do so well. Pride, too, is there because they learned their responsibilities and choose their priorities.

So...back to regular programming, soon, but for right now, I just have to bask in the glow of grandmother-hood for a bit, do you mind?

I have to share: my favorite little moment from the whole birthing experience with my daughter and son-in-law: when they were admiring Levi in a quiet moment later in the afternoon following his birth Thursday morning, I heard Thad say to Jamie: "Well, honey, looks like we have ourselves a family: we're a family!"
Oh, my heart just MELTED.

How are all of YOU doing?
Please, let me know!

He's so darling Joni~ Congratulations! He's got a great name too. I have two of my own too. I've been amazed at how the grandbabies just take over our hearts just like their parents did. xxxVicki

He sure looks like his Mama in the second photo on this post. He has her eyes, that's for sure. I cannot wait until August to hold him. So glad to have internet again so I can see these photo's! Is he a good sleeper? Has Nana read him a Little Golden Book yet? My love to all!

Congratulations Joni! Everytime a baby is born so is a Gramma! I'm spending the summer with my 2 1/2 yr old and 11 month old grandbabies. We get to enjoy it all through a Grammas eyes this time around!

What a beautiful child! I am a retired RN, who was a nursery nurse for a long time. I am the mama of four and have always loved babies. However, when our first grandchild was born, when I took him to hold him the first time, my knees almost buckled, and my heart surged...such a special feeling...and now, although he will be twenty next month, he is still so special, as are our other five beautiful grandchildren, from him down to the little surprise three-year-old! God is so good.
