Let that Mustang out of the Barn!

My beautiful niece and our '67 Mustang, taken last fall...before Sally was put in her stall for the winter.

It's almost time to let my Mustang (Sally) out of the barn to go on a nice run....she loves to run! She's been cooped up in the barn since fall, has been disappointed many times this winter when I'd go out and start her up, just to run her back and forth a little to keep her tires from gettin' square.

For goodness sakes, all she wanted to do was GO! All she needs is an open road with the top down...and she'll be sooo happy! (Isn't my niece a cutie?)

Her favorite place to go is the A&W drive-in for a coney island and to garage sales...just cruisin' and lettin' people enjoy looking at her. She's kind of a show-off, this horse.

(If you lived near me, she and I would come pick you up on a sunny day with the top down and we'd head off to some garage sales or some thrift stores and we'd stop in at the A & W drive-in and order our root beer floats from the car hop, with oldies playin' all the way!)

Is their no end to your coolness??? I love that car! Don't worry, you'll be driving around in that hot rod before you know it...And we must see pictures the first time you take it out for real.

You are KILLING me!!!

Let's see...a '67 'Tang, garage sales/thrift stores, A&W coney islands and root beer floats and oldies on the radio...what more could a person want out of life! LOL

What a GREAT car! Envy is a sin, but...I sure wish I had my '68 Cougar back. Thanks for reminding me.

Sue, I would love a Cougar too! What year was yours? My brothers had, between them, every dang Ford ever made...ours was a FORD family even though my dad worked for GM for over forty years!

This Mustang is the only Ford we own...

My husband would love to have his mustang again. If my husband kept some of his cars from back then, we would be rich! Oh well..

Is this what you're driving to the tea party? I think one look at this car would rev up the auto industry again! What those men need is a little homegrown inspiration again, don't you think?

No word yet on my going to that outing... I kinda doubt it since we have one car... I'll get back to you.
