Thoughtful. Simple. Gifts.

My daughter gives some of the best gifts: my favorites are beautiful photos she's taken and framed. I like this one of wild blackberries she captured one day on a walk in the woods...so behind it I used an old mini fruit basket from Salvation Army and put some of the berries Target sells in their home decorating area into it for a little accent to honor the photo she framed....it makes me happy every time I look at it!
( Berry season is almost here!)
So, look through your gorgeous photos next time you're stumped for a gift....frame something you did that's excellent and it will be an appreciated gift that the receiver will KNOW is from the heart ...and they're a great surprise for that anytime-for-no-reason gift!

Oh this is lovely!! I also love framed photos, but have never thought of giving mine as a gift... but I will now - thank you for the idea :)

My favorite Christmas was the last year I had with my Grandma. She knew she wouldn't be around much longer, I'm sure of it. She went 'shopping' in her own home. She wrapped up old photos, jewelry and heirlooms. But my absolute favorite was when I opened up a beautiful lace-trimmed basket and saw the diaries that she'd kept for over 40 years.
