Honey, I Shrunk the Phone....

I called my husband this morning and he told me that he was having a very bad day. He described what all had happened to make his day bad (so far) and I agreed: he was having a very bad day. I tried to give him a pep talk and send him on his way...back to work. To that point, I was having a fairly good day.

When I got ready to go to pick my son up from school today, I went to take my cellphone out of my purse and turn it on. WHERE WAS MY CELLPHONE? I looked all through the purse, and it wasn't there. I tried to remember when I last saw my cellphone. Yes, it was yesterday, in the pocket of my Levi's when I was out garage sale-ing. OH! I'll go dig it out of my pocket....except.....

I ALREADY WASHED THAT LOAD OF DARKS! (Why, oh, why do I have to be so stinkin' efficient!?)

I open the dryer.

I start to frantically dig through the dryer. The clothes weren't completely dry...so I throw them in a laundry basket so I can throw them back in. I find one piece, the main part of the phone, and then I found the battery, and then I had to dig a little more to find the sim card. I guess I dried my phone well enough because SO FAR it's working....the screen on the outside is just a bit cloudy....and so is the eye for the camera. But I can dial, connect, talk to others, and they can call me....but, that front screen having condensation in it is bothering me. That condensation will go somewhere.

So I'm thinkin' hey, maybe I'll just throw it back in the dryer for a while!

What do you think of that idea? *Ü*

BAD DAY, INDEED!

**Updated to add: I have a front loader set...so I dug out the rack for the dryer, read the instructions, set the cell phone parts on the rack and set it on air dry....so far, the condensation is leaving the front screen. I keep checking on it. I'm going to be so mad if I get it out and it doesn't work...when it worked before I put it in!

Boo Hoo! You are not the first one to do that to a cell phone! Amazing how they clean up!

AAGGHH! No! Don't throw it back in! I have heard to keep the battery out for a day or so, to really dry it thoroughly. Like on top of a heat register.
Our 16 yod has destroyed more than one phone by just setting it on a wet countertop! Hopefully yours will be fully restored!

Whoops!!... I was a late bloomer in the cell phone world, so I have not had one as long as most people. I am on my second one though..left the first one at Barnes & Noble. I REFUSE to get my kids cell phones. I do loan them mine ocassionally though. So far, so good! I could not text someone if my life depended on it!!

Use the hair dryer on it ... so the phone co. said when it happened to us.

Annoying isn't it ...

Hello! I love your blog! Try putting the phone in the freezer to get rid of the condensation. My husband dropped his cell phone in the water while duck hunting. He had heard to put in in the freezer and it worked! good luck!
