Shadow Shots: A Golden Evening

I am back home and (sort of) settled back in.
The bags are unpacked and I am trying to catch up on housework.

The night we got home, I noticed these golden shadows in the farmhouse, illuminating the ordinary--and seeming to welcome me back!

The light was making it all magical -- anything the light touched, glowed.

The light from the sunset was enough to project the pattern of lace in the curtains onto the closet doors...

Something to take note of, to savor, to stop and admire.

Just for the simplicity of it.

Light.

Is.

Beautiful.

Happy Monday, blogger peeps!
XOXO
Joni

PS:  I turned fifty this weekend.  I don't feel any different.
Bahahaha!

Oh....but the number fifty.  That's a number that seems to hold a more substantial place--a little more imposing in the order of things. Halfway to a hundred.  Wow, that went surprisingly fast.

Happy Birthday! I am right behind you, I will be the big 50 in a few short months. Halfway to 100 sounds kind of.....old. Sorry, I am just not looking forward to it. I guess it's just a number. If you are where God wants you to be for that time in your life, I guess that is all that matters. blessings ~sara
