WELCOME SPRING! Triumphant Spring!

I took a photo the other day of the little crocus blooming outside my dining room window...and how beautiul and welcome this little bloom. I think purple is one of the most delicious colors in nature, there's something so hopeful about it--and of course after a long gray winter--there's something triumphant about a bloom pushing its way upward from the cold, hard ground!

THE RAINDROPS
The raindrops are a busy lot,
They have so much to do;
They clean the dainty flowers and leaves
And wash the sky so blue.
They hang some jewels bright and fair
On bushes and on trees
I'm sure you've seen some diamonds there
All dancing in the breeze.
Of course, they bring a needed drink
To garden, field and plain;
I'm sure we're thankful to the Lord
For His kind gift of rain.
