A GIVEAWAY: Farmhouse Photo Cards

A way to say "thanks" to all of you!

Sweet Farmhouse Photo Cards....

I was challenged not long ago, by sweet Rachel from CHERRY TREE LANE to do a giveaway of something made by myself, and that five people out of all that respond would win, the only catch is that they in turn do a something for five people in their own giveaway.

Let's get this going! My giveaway to you is my PHOTOGRAPHY. It's one of my favorite things to do in the whole world. My photography will be given to you in a very useful way......

MY PHOTO GIFT TAGS, or INSPIRATION PHOTOS.

Let me explain.

I started last year at Christmas taking and then choosing a photo to make into a gift tag for all the Christmas gifts that would be given to family and friends. The first one I used was a photo of our garland and Christmas lights on the railing of the porch on our old farmhouse.

I had so much fun taking and choosing the photo, then making the tags, and got so many compliments on them, that I decided what better gift to give to you than some of my favorite photos in a special size so that you can use them as gift tags, useful all through the year when you want to make that special gift complete with a unique tag!

OR....you can use these beautiful little bordered photos to tuck in special spots around the house if you'd like, not use them as gift tags at all. It's your option, just let me know when you've won if you like to have them punched for use as tags or if you'd like them as a set of small photos to use for crafts, or around your home tucked into mirrors, inspiration boards, on the fridge, whatever!

So here's my gift to five names drawn out of all who respond: LITTLE INSPIRATION PHOTOS/GIFT TAGS THAT CONSIST OF a set including:

phlox on the fence at sunset
farmhouse quilts hanging on the line to dry in black and white
kids skipping rocks in a still lake in sepia
girl in a hat sitting on the dock of a very still lake in sepia
my garland and lights on the porch railing at Christmastime
a very blue and frosty, still December morning
a lighthouse on Lake Huron in the early fall
two sleeping dogs bathed in sunshine
a fall scene from my front porch
my house in the snow, all decorated for Christmas
my house in the summer

Each measure 3-1/4 x 2-1/2"

The best way to write on these if used as gift tags is with a fine point SHARPIE.

I hope that you will enter and that you'll participate in this PAY-IT-FORWARD style giveaway. It's been a lot of fun for me and I hope that all five of those that win enjoy this little bit of brightness that I'm happy to give to my new friends!

LEAVE A COMMENT AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE YOUR OWN BLOG, LEAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS FOR ME TO NOTIFY YOU THAT YOU'VE WON.

FIVE NAMES WILL BE DRAWN ON SUNDAY, MARCH 15, 2008!

OK , this is so cool. Has the race started yet? I just had a Bud on en empty stomach and am not paying attention...did I just TYPE that??

You take wonderful photos and clearly you get them developed - I don't recall the last time I saw one of mine in my hands, but it's not out of laziness, I take about 1000 per week so, that would add up!
What kind of camera and lens do you have?

We've just GOT to meet - I will be in Michigan a few times this summer - email me your whereabouts (if you are comfortable doing so)

So, enter me in your drawing -I'm gonna do my own giveaway here soon and maybe I'll do 5 runner ups to follow your rules.

Hey;
Loved this blog and the restless patriot blog as well! It makes me feel like I'm having a visit with my sis... I can almost smell the chicken pot pie and taste those yummy blueberry muffins!
Music lovers should listen to the soundtrack Kit Kittredge: An American Girl! Lot's of music from the Great Depression. Our grandparents believed in optimism and sharing the load! It will really pick you up to think about the trials they weathered together back then. But, they still had morals, principals and values and through it all they stood together, "side by side".
