Atop a Mountain...

We took Levi to the top of Round Top Mountain in Huntsville, Alabama for an afternoon while we were there the first week of April.

Spring is a beautiful time to go, any season up there, really is beautiful.

This was the perfect outing for him, not too long, a beautiful day, and enough for him to see to keep his interest--of course, he loves being outside, so it was a delight.

Look around with me, and enjoy this tiny turn of the century village, and living museum...Burritt on the Mountain.

Of course, Levi loved the farm animals.  And we enjoyed showing him!  For a ten-month-old, he is very aware, alert, and curious.

Something about this place is so quiet, peaceful, and relaxing.

Beautiful views, old buildings all around us, and animals and farm buildings to lend it all the feel of actually being in an old town.

(Check out those adorable little elbow dimples!)

Such a joy to walk around on a beautiful sunny spring day, and enjoy the mountain top views.  This mountain view allows us to look for miles:  Huntsville and beyond.

Out there in the haze we could see the Space and Rocket Center.

My beautiful daughter, her son....and the unborn baby, too!

(This tender moment stole my heart.)

The best part of going places with family....being TOGETHER!

Love the pictures - that old house reminds me of my grandma's house. It was up on blocks like that but a little bit higher. She lived out in the country and for years I loved to go back and see her. The smell of old wood inside those homes is wonderful. Looks like you all had a great time - and yes, family is the greatest isn't it.

Levi is a very lucky little boy to share sweet memories as you are creating, with his family. What a beautiful place to visit. I savored every moment.

Again, I want to pinch those little legs of Levi and kiss those precious toes. He is so, so cute. Your beautiful daughter looks good too. I thought you had said she was pregnant but she sure doesn't look it. You have a wonderful family. You truly are blessed.

What a peaceful, pleasant place to visit. It's like a real life Mayberry, which sounds more and more fictional as the world becomes a crazier place to live. Did you just want to pack up and move in and forget about all the worlds problems for a while?

That little Levi is a show stealer!!! What a cutie-patootie!

Ahhhh... what a wonderful few moments of relaxation viewing your photos. Now I want to go work out in my yard. That flowering tree that was reddish---not a Redbud tree, as those are rather purple-ish. What was it? What a treat to join you on your little trip via the Internet! And the little guy is a DOLL!
