My Porch featured on "A ROMANTIC PORCH"

Sweet Rachel from "A Romantic Porch" emailed me yesterday and asked me if she could do a feature on my front porch here at the Old Centennial Farmhouse. Of course, I said yes...because I love my porch! It's one of the favorite things about our old house. And, as you know, I have lots of fun decorating it from season to season.

Strangely, I didn't have much to do to get ready, as we had mowed the lawn the day before, I had already made my wreaths for the season, and all I had to do is get out the cushions for the wicker and find my throws for the backs of the chairs. In an hour or so, I had all the pictures ready to email to her.

I hope you enjoy her blog, it's a sweet one and she's another farmhouse lovin' country girl!

Joni, your porch is lovely! I just want to come on over and drink some lemonade! I'm from Michigan originally and the sight of your home brings back many memories!

Joni, Congratulations! I've been over to Rachel's blog to read it. Your porch is wonderful, and I'd love to have one just like it. I do have a porch... its even a nice one, but yours is more like the ones I've always dreamed of having... almost identical to my beloved grandma's porch.

Also, just to let you know, your blog inspires me to speak up more about what I believe... in spite of the fact that I live in California where everything politics seems mostly blue, and a person can almost certainly suffer some verbal abuse for speaking up. Still, I have ventured to do so and found a few neighbors who feel the same as me. Thank you for speaking out and for encouraging me to do the same. Vicki

Your porch looks fantastic! Love the red, white, and blue. The wreath looks great on the porch...well worth the hot glue burn marks. LOL!

Joni,
No wonder she wanted to do a feature on your porch!! It's the most beautiful one I've ever seen. I'm gonna tell you something - don't think I'm wierd. But sometimes, when I need to 'escape' - I pull up your blog and just picture myself right there on your porch!!

Hi Joni, congrats! I can see myself on your porch too! It's so relaxing and romantic--I see myself sitting on your porch reading a good book while sipping some cool tea - won't you join me in my daydream? I can't wait to see where you put your signs next:)

What a fantastic front porch! You have it decorated so nice. Care to come on over and give mine a spruce-up, LOL? We love sitting on our porch. Except for winter, we use it an another room, and enjoy watching the world go by and chat out there in the afternoons.
