5-10-09: THE WINNER IS ALI FROM THE BLESSED COUNTRY MOM !!!

Congratulations to ALI and all you who entered, I wish you ALL could have won!

Would you like to sit down? Come on up, it's just a little chilly, so grab a throw...then just listen to the quiet, the birds and the windchimes at first.

In honor of Spring, Mother's Day, and GARDENS that seem to be popping out all over, a GIVEAWAY! This is my UNDER $2 giveaway for you...leave your name in the comments and I'll draw the winner on MOTHER'S DAY! Here's the goods:

A gorgeous blue and white cup and saucer to add to your teacup collection or to begin one...

And a just like new hardcover copy of DEBBIE MCCOMBER'S book, Susannah's Garden, (shown in the very top photo) something good to read while you sit on your porch! (Click on the title to read a review of this book.)

Happy Mother's Day, everyone! And especially to the WINNER! And, thanks for stoppin' in today!

(I regret to say that I must limit the drawing to those in the continental United States due to postage fees and customs.)

Oh my goodness I love all the red white and blue. Even your table and candle display on your porch reflected your patriotism. I would love a covered farm porch like yours. It's so peaceful. You have such a calm sweet voice. Talking about the dear in the orchard. It all sounds so lovely. We are currently working on prettying up our patio. In red white and blue of course. I am also a collector of missmatchy blue and white china. I only started last year so I have quite a bit of room on my shelves for more. We are also tea lovers @ my house. I know the winner is chosen @ random, but I so hope I win :)

Just wanted to leave you a quick note. I love your porch! I am hoping to get one someday on the house we've lived in for a year here in the country. My husband would love to see the deer every evening as you do. Also, glad to hear of a plant that is wind tolerant. We also have LOTS of wind! Hoping the farmers plant corn this year!

I enjoy your blog. I just found it yesterday on A Romantic Porch.
Have a great rest of the week!

You have such a relaxing porch!! It calls for me to have a lemonade or tea. Hopefully I will get mine to radiate a similar feeling soon. So many projects and not enough time or money.... :) Your tea cup is beautiful!! :)

Looks so inviting. I love your porch. We have had tons of rain in Arkansas and I'm sick of it. Ready for some sunshine.

Your porch is beautiful. So peaceful. My porch is in terrible shape, in fact the actual porch was torn off by the previous owners, so I have dreams of a beautiful porch some day!

Hi! I'm a fellow Michigander, who found your blog from A Romantic Porch. What a beautiful place to wind down after a long day - the breeze, the wind chimes, the candles, the view, and a book to read; perfect.

I've always loved houses with a front porch! I don't have one now, myself, but a girl can always dream!

The picture of the Ben Frankin store makes me feel nostalgic. It's sad that the "five & dimes" have all but disappeared. I remember spending hours in those stores as a kid. Me and my girlfriends would buy Aunt Martha embroidery patterns, DMC floss (for $0.05 each!!), make up and even sneakers there. It was a treasure hunt every time ~smiles~.

I feel so blessed! Thank you so much, I can't wait to start reading the book on my porch, while sipping some tea! ;-)
