Revisiting......

A gentle summer breeze is rustling the leaves over your head, the trees forming a perfect canopy to shield your eyes from the glaring sun as you take in the vista before you.

The water smells fresh and looks so pure, and the sun glitters as it glistens off the water that is unbelievably turquoise.

Around you, there are other tourists stopping at the scenic overlook, all looking on in awe, each leaving their vehicles: RV's, vans, cars and motorcycles. Each in turn stepping to the deck to look and quietly exclaim to each other about how beautiful it is as they snap their pictures...doing their best to save the memory to have forever.

Other than that, all is quiet except for the song of the leaves accompanied by the chorus of the birds.

Oh....

Sorry....

I must have been dreaming.

About summer.

About the Dunes.

About Lake Michigan.
.
.
.

It's not summer?

It's really snowy, cold and blustery and the winds are at about 30 mph?

Oh.
.
.
.

Wake me up when it's over, 'kay?

...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

(Sometimes, I wish I was like that groundhog so I could go back into the hole and wake up in six weeks when my world had finished its magical transformation to spring! How about YOU?)

More here too. Sun is out now, though. But the roads were too bad to go into work so I am "working" from home. I am daydreaming about Spring and Summer too. I am starting to get a bit of cabin fever.

LOL!!! English Cottage in Georgia does not have as severe weather has you at the Old Centennial Farmhouse. Yet the howling wind awoke me last night as 3 a.m. Hmm, you can sleep right through it?
Thank you for the sweet comment you left for me and for visiting English Cottage in Georgia.

If I didn't have horses, sheep and barn cats to feed...I'd be asleep along with ya.
We've got snow drifts up to my waist here and it's still coming down. I think I'll go make some snow ice cream.
