Busy & Cozy Work

It was a pleasure today to turn the calendar over to February. February is a short month and it gets us closer to March...which means Spring will be just around the corner!

This morning I have to head to the doctor who will more than likely send me to a specialist and we'll find out what real damage I did to myself on Friday. I'm sure that being off my feet will result in some catch-up on my sewing.

I'll find a way to prop up my foot and get busy on making a pile of these burp cloths. I get a half-dozen done and then tie them up and go on to the next pile.

I am almost out of my burp cloth inventory, and I don't like to be. I like to be prepared whenever a baby comes to have a pack all ready to go, be it boy or girl. (The nice thing I've discovered about these are that they're easy to mail, lightweight and fit easily in an envelope.)

Joann's has their snuggle flannel on sale for half price ($2.49). So if you're in the market for some flannel for winter projects or for these burp cloths, you're in luck! We stopped in after church on Sunday and I got myself a good combination of colors and prints and I cut out 32 of these this afternoon.

Go here for the instructions on how to make a bundle of these sweet little thangs for the next baby that comes along in your neck of the woods!
Working on them is so cozy for the cold days like this!

(And speaking of cozy, I am a little jealous of the British, they spell it COSY.)

Here's a couple of pictures that depict COSY no matter how you spell it!

Old Dan and Little Ann are growing up right before our eyes!
