The sun is shining brightly today. However, for days it has been rather gray and dark and this time of year can get pretty long for those of us in the midwest. The countdown to spring seems to begin as soon as the Christmas tree is put away! So, I hired a few friends to come and model their best smiles for me, to help cheer my friends who may look in today.

I, on the other hand, would love for nothing more than to lay down and take a nice, long nap under a cheerful and warm quilt, and wake up about the twentieth of April. I know, I'm dreaming.

So here are a couple sunnier friends to smile at you and say hello! The rotund red apple has a cheery sound, if you could hear her, Happy Apple would be jingling her little chime bells for you!

Joni I am just like an old
bear, in the winter all I want to do is hibernate! :=)
Always have been.

This afternoon, when I went to pick up my seventh grader from basketball practice, the most beautiful HUGE fluffy snowflakes were coming down, floating down, actually. And....I was actually glad I wasn't hibernating! It was magical! Hibernating does sound good though, most of the winter from January through March!
Joni:
They are so sweet and yes they made me smile.

It's sad that living in California snow actually sounds fun. My hubby lived in Michigan for a while and will NOT go to the snow. Whatever.
I know, I know it's awful. As soon as December is over I can't wait for spring. Cabin fever stinks. Not to mention the additional pounds we all pack on in the winter :( ps- Ava would love those toys!
Aaawww! I love your smiles - what a clever idea!
Hi Brooke! Those toys are your age...they are the same toys my two oldest played with, maybe you remember them?? I think they're all Fisher Price...classics! Great to hear from you!
