Blogs Are Just Better Than Magazines....Hands Down

WHY?
Instant
accessibility
Real-time connections: what's going on NOW
Learning about what's going on in other parts of the country, and the world!
One can leave instant feedback to the author
Interaction with the author through comments or emails
Such talented people showcasing their work
Excellent writers and wonderful writing
Kindness and caring among friends
Excellent photography and advice for learning more about it
Etsy! (Need I say more??)
Endless talent
Sharing your favorite reads with others
Never ending source of useful, helpful, up-to-date information, and fast!
One good blog leads to another, which leads to another, which leads to another, and so on and so on...

AND BEST OF ALL....You don't have to sort them and find homes for or recycle them! They're all stored nicely on the internet. And I can search and access all that information with a search engine.

(Can you tell this post was inspired after a magazine purge?!)

What do YOU like best about blogs, bloggers and blogging?

I am off to clean the dryer out, I discovered last night about midnight (after a long day of salsa-making!) that a whole pack of STRIDE gum had been left in my son's jeans, and went through the washer and the dryer and it's quite stuck and it's quite blue...any suggestions? I'll be scraping and cleaning...ugh.

After that? I'm off to the garage to clean because it's total chaos after our kitchen remodel. Speaking of which, I should be able to show you the whole thing within a week or so. I got the curtains made and now I'm just getting to unpacking the stuff for the walls, shelves and over the cupboard displays. What fun I'm going to have putting it all up!

Have a great day, my friends!
XOXO
Joni

And the best thing about blogging over magazines is no clutter! The worst part-- having to elbow my hubby and daughter away from the computer: LOL!

Hi Joni :)

I love all those things about blogging! The only thing I don't like is not having enough time to read all of them LOL

I can't wait to see the kitchen :)

I agree on the magazines. This is a much better way to go.

The BEST part about blogging is friendship! I've made friends all over the world!

And getting gum out of those appliances - use fabric spot cleaner (like spray n wash), let stand for a couple of minutes, then remove with a dryer sheet. You can also use vinegar instead of cleaner.

I love blogging for all those reasons too, I still like to look at magazines though:>) Can you get too much home dec inspiration? You probably know that putting ice on the gum helps it pop off the clothes, not sure what to do about the stuff that is actually stuck inside any fibers though. If you find what works you should post it!

Hi Joni! Thanks so much for dropping by!

I agree with all you said about magazines and blogging, but I'm with Judy J...there's something about the printed word on glossy paper that makes my heart go pitter patter! I love my magazines, but hate my clutter!

I recently had my hubby (who works part-time for American Medical Response (AMR) abulance service, take my oldest back issues of Country Living magazine and drop off at the nursing homes that he calls on for business development. Might as well bless someone else with them!

Blessings to you,
Valerie

I keep telling my mom that blogging is like having new mags everyday just waiting for you to read! But, yes, like everyone else, I love my magazines and still get excited when a new issue arrives!
When I went off to college my Dad gave me spending $ and a lecture to not spend it all on magazines!
Years later, my love affair with mags has not ended!

I have been doing a magazine purge too, and I see we are both sorting through the same magazines. I do tend to get distracted while sorting these magazines because I like them and always seem to find articles and pictures I had forgotten about and re-discover. But, I got rid of most of them anyway.

Looking forward to the big reveal!
