You "CAN" Do It!

Jam.

Is there anything prettier?

Is there anything more satisfying to make than some freezer jam?

In my neck of the woods...the strawberry plants are blooming. They're all snuggled up in their straw and the rain does them all kinds of good.

Soon, it will be time to pick!
It's always a highlight of summer for me and our family.

When it's strawberry season...
REMEMBER!

One simple hour in the kitchen and...
You'll capture summer in a jar to use all year long, especially in the winter!
You can make someone smile just by handing them one of your beautiful jars;
it's a priceless gift, really.
Homemade jam is a precious commodity!
Excellent for your family to use; healthier than the stuff in the stores...
(You'll never go back to store-bought!)

YOU can DO it!!

Jam and Biscuits.
Jam and toast.
Jam and pancakes.
Jam and Cream-of-Wheat!

What do YOU like to eat with jam?

It's a simple, old-fashioned-- just plain good breakfast or snack any time of day!

It's that time of year again, and I want to

ENCOURAGE
YOU
to
MAKE
JAM
.

It's easier than you think!

You CAN Do It!

Buy your berries or pick your own that have been grown and ripened in the field for best flavor...

You will be SO GLAD you did!

What's your favorite jam?

I agree, I make lots of blackberry, strawberry and raspberry jam, nothing better! Last year I did start making raspberry jelly with juice I made bowling the not so pretty berries after sorting, with some added water and strained with a spaghetti strainer and then a sieve, it was easy and an old recipe book said hot pack and turn upside down. Nice for people who can't have seeds and yummy too! Even though it wasn't freezer jam I wasn't disappointed in the flavor one bit!

I've made it lots of times, and you're right Joni, it's the best! We have our own berry plants this year and I can't wait to get some home grown berries from them:>)

My fave is raspberry freezer jam, my kids and hubby love strawberry freezer jam. My friend Megan brought us a jar of blueberry jam, it was delish! I love the feeling of providing that for my family and knowing my married kids who live so far away can enjoy a sweet taste of summertime and think of home as they do!

I love to make jam. My favorite is Apple but who can resist Blueberry, Blackberry, Strawberry, Strawberry Rhubarb, Pepper, and of course, Raspberry. Life is good...
Our favorite way with the jam is on vanilla ice cream or slathered between layers of cake.
Love the taste of this entry.
