I got a phone call yesterday morning: from my husband. He had found a baby kitty underneath a pallet at the hardware store, she didn't make a single noise until he got the whole pallet of topsoil emptied. He scooped her up, saw a June Bug and held it out for her. She promptly ate the crunchy bug for her late breakfast. He was afraid she'd be hit by a car in the parking lot, so Luke and I dug out the old cat carrier and went to pick her up. When we got there, she was walking all over his shoulders, back and forth, just rubbing all over him. I thought it was so sweet, it told me she was a friendly kitty.
He then told us the story of her eating a June bug, so it's the beautiful month of June, she fancies June bugs, and so we had to name her June Bug! This lil
lady, weighing in at one pound and a couple of ounces, is holding her own with all our dogs, amazingly!
We're trying to find a home for her, but she's the spittin' image of our Jamie's beloved 18 year-old tiger kitty that died right before Christmas in 2007. And, just like June Bug, our old kitty was found behind the hardware store. They could pass for twins and they are both as sweet as sugar: our old kitty's name was Sugar Pie (Honey Bunch). So now we have June Bug, and if no one sees this sweet picture on our little "FREE KITTY" posters at the vets and the grocery store and comes to get her, we'll accept that June Bug was sent to take the place of another tiger kitty we once loved....bless her heart! Lots of smiles, lots of playin' goin' on! The perfect start to our summer.

Take down the posters!!! SHe would love to live with you and yours... ;)
I'm looking for a new kitty. Our oldest cat passed away this spring. I'm down to two, one keeps company with our dog all day long, the other lays around the house all lonesome. He needs a companion.
They're out their....I'll find one before the end of summer......I'm sure.
How sweet! My MIL got a new cat this week and she is happy!
AWW...who can resist a baby kitty? And what a perfect name! I hope she turns out to be your very own.
She looks mighty sweet! Love that name!
I'm with ADSGRAM, take down the posters, June Bug is YOURS!
I'd say June Bug belongs in your happy and loving home! I love the story about her name...she is beautiful! I hope you have a great weekend my friend!
OK~ So just accept the blessing and KEEP the new baby! When something sweet is dropped in your lap, you gotta embrace it. (and kiss it, and pet it, and snuggle it!!)
Blessings~LillySue
Your kitty is so cute! I went to my moms yesterday, where my dad showed me 6 kittens! He didnt even know one of the barn cats was expecting...she just showed up with them! I think June Bug belongs with you!!!
Oh, she is meant for you! How adorable she is - I think your husband was meant to find her and bring her home, sweet June Bug!
Hi, I found you over at Kim's Bella Della Farm. I think that kitty was meant to be with you. (Do you want to hear that or not?) I have pets aplenty. But sometimes it just seems like one is sent to you from somewhere, instinctively knowing you are loving and care about their welfare. Nice to find your blog!
