Can You Help a Girl Out?

I need some help from my nice friends in blogland. Before spring makes its debut here in Michigan, I'd like to find a good source (online or in a brick and mortar) for some well-made and durable hard plastic clothespins, the kind that you pinch, the ones that have little springs.

I can find the wooden ones anywhere, but those tend leave marks on the whites. Wal-Mart once sold big bags of blue, pink, and white plastic clothespins--but not anymore!

Before the spring breezes start to blow across the fields I'd like to fill my clothespin bag with some new ones...the old ones are all breaking up! Just leave me a note if you've got any leads for me. I'd so appreciate it! You guys are the best!

I got some blue ones at my local grocery store. I will look and see if they have any more when I go to the store tomorrow.

AAAGGHH! I didn't even KNOW they made plastic ones! My wooden ones get all nasty on me, and by the end of the clothes drying season, half of them are trashed. Let us know when you find a source?

Great idea to look at the grocery store, Roberta Anne...I'll go do that tomorrow and I'll let you know Cyn, what I find. I might have some luck at Kroger, they have a whole aisle of stuff like that!

I have some really old ones from my mother and they are the best and don't leave marks on the whites. She bought them in Europe:)I can't wait for the warm days to hang out wash. I am in lower MI and still hang out wash in the winter:) I will see if we have plastic ones over here. Have a great night.

Try this link for some clothespins, I haven't tried them but am going to order some. Not only do they seem pretty strong but they're also pretty!
Love your blog!

Hi ALL! I found 'em! I found 'em! Turns out that the grocery store closest to home had them, I went all over. In the past I've looked at all the department stores. Today I went to several stores, but on the way back home I stopped at our local SPARTAN store and found them...they're made by DIAMOND...the same folks who make the matches. They come in a pack of 25 for about 2.75...but they last a long time. The come in an assortment of teal, blue & white. If I was a good girl, I would bring them in from outside each day, but I don't, I may have to start. I asked the store manager to get me ten more packs so I'm not on another hunt like this again. Now my clothespin bag is well stocked! Thanks for your suggestions!

I hope you don't mind me answering your postcard question:
start with it black and white and tint it slightly on the sheets and basket and clouds....

it would also make a great 'watercolor' painting....
do you have photoshop? or gimp?

play around with it-

maybe even a black and white with higher contrast and then use the antique thing (for a primitive look)

Great idea using that photo!
