About two weeks ago, I was pulling out of the grocery store parking lot and across from there in a small used-car lot sat a beautiful green MUSTANG convertible, and I have to say that my heart did a flip-flop. Should I pull in and look? I did. Should I ask for the keys to take a test drive? I did. HOLY SMOKES.
My knees went week and I got tingly all over. Did I really have a physical reaction to a CAR? I did. I brought it home and made arrangements for the mechanic and vintage car afficiando who lives across from the farmhouse to take a look.

I had looked some basic things over at the car lot, but an expert I am not. Tom came over and he gave it the once over and told me it was a really solid car, that he was pretty sure that it was all original, no bondo, and that the work that it would need would be mostly details, like new chrome here and there, some repair work on the ragtop, things like that.
So, before long, Lem got home and he and I went for a spin. I saw him smiling the minute the wind hit his hair.
Did we want it? We FINALLY decided that we did....so now we have her and I shined her all up and did some detail work on her this weekend and she seems to be happy to be here. She sounds really nice when we start her up! She still hasn't been named, any suggestions? Just leave me a comment! All that comes to mind when I look at her is ESMERELDA....don't ask me why!
