My Farmhouse Diner...

The burgers are on the grill...

I can smell them on the breeze blowing in through the window.

It's a late summer evening that is perfect, not too warm with a light wind,
bringing the smell of the grill to our noses to make our mouths water...

Their aroma making us even hungrier than we thought we were.

So pull up a chair, and let's have dinner at my little diner in the kitchen!

Want a Coke?
Or maybe a 7-Up?

(I like a big glass of milk with dinner.)

I grill burgers after first mixing them with a little:
steak sauce
steak seasoning
Worcestershire sauce...
YUM!

There's all the goodies you could want: golden crinkle fries, and for your burger--cheese, pickles, red onions, ripe tomatoes from the garden (that will drip to your elbow), and of course, real mayo and mustard and ketchup.

How do you like yours?

And fries? Golden with a little ketchup.
(The boys like their fries dark!)

Mmmm.....!

So...tell me, what do you like on YOUR burger?

For me, it's everything, but hold the cheese.

mmmm! We had burgers on the grill today too! My husband hates condiments of any kind. Can you believe it? After almost 25 years of marriage, it's kinda catching on with me. Sometimes no ketchup, no mustard, but I love lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion and cheese. Tonight my husband mixed some onion into the ground beef. It was good that way. He is the master griller here...or at least I let him think so! ;) We had some good sweet corn with our burgers too.

Oh, I want to come to your diner! It looks so inviting!

I like my burger with mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. I had it once with coleslaw on it and it was great, too!

Looking at your diner and delicious burgers make me hungry. I like mine with everything including the cheese.

I make sliders, minature burgers, I cook them with onions and the bun on top, it sort of steams them.

Okay, it all looks absolutely perfect and like the boys I like my fries dark and crispy. But I can not hack the mayonnaise on my hamburger - it's gotta be mustard.
I love the way the golden evening sun is filtering through your kitchen window onto your kitchen table.

wow, it must have been "in the air", we had burgers on the grill too, with fresh green beans and sun chips. I started liking honey mustard with all the normal fixings, tried it once at Fudruckers, it was so good, now I gotta have it!

Yum!!! This makes me really hungry for burgers on the grill!
I love the red baskets, they remind me of a drive-in restaurant where they hang the tray on the window of your car and the car-hops are on roller skates!!!!!...I saw some of those baskets at JoAnn's and was tempted to buy some myself.
