Original oil painting of our home portrait by Barbara Pask...go here to see more.
What does the above picture have to do with anything I'm talking about today?
Nothing.
But it's kinda cute, so I had to share it.
Monday morning....crisp and bright.
I should be full of energy.
But, I'm not.
You see, it was a busy, busy weekend. As you know, I and my sisters gave my niece a bridal shower. I feel like I got run over by a truck, but the rewards are good: cake for breakfast this morning with my coffee.
(You do that, too, right? Oh, GOOD.)
I still have to upload and edit all the photos, plus clean my house (which is sadly neglected!) and I still have six stories to tell from my trip south week before last...it seems like I always have a backlog of stories to tell!
I can think of at least ten that I haven't written and uploaded photos for right off the top of my head.
All that to say it may be a little while before I can tell the story of the shower, but did I get some great pictures! Can't wait to show you, especially the nice collection of vintage hats, gloves, and purses that my mom loaned for us to decorate with.
So tell me, how was your weekend?
(And yes, even if it was a quiet one, I'd like to hear about it. Quiet...is GOOD.)

Sounds like a fun weekend. We stayed home mostly and worked on our garden. Still a ways to go, but it will be worth come July and August :) Have a great day!
Oh my gosh, Joni!! That sign with your house above is THE perfect book cover for you!! And then have a whole array of beautiful farm homes from across the country.
Love the pic with that sign! Isn't cake with ANYTHING ok,HAHA!!Hope you can catch a little time outside on this perfect spring day even though I know you are swamped. Would next week be better to meet? I know you gotta catch up. I was thinking that too, that you must have TONS of good blog posts PLUS once little Levi is here... it will be ongoing inspiration!! Have a good albeit hectic day!
Worked on my crochet chair pads and rag rug on Saturday and went to church on Sunday with a long nap after. I'm feeling a bit better today but it's a long process.
As usual, great pics. What a fun filled weekend!!
