Sally Gets a Makeover

This was Sally a couple years ago...

But. Last fall, Sally started to have some issues. Her tires went terribly bad. So we decided to get her some new tires when the tax refund came, and because she needed new tires, we thought we'd splurge on some new wheels. She needed some ZING.

But a couple weeks ago, Sally's starter went bad! So many nice, sunny, warm days Sally sat until we could get her taken care of. This week, we found her a starter and my hero put it on for me!

(I just love it when he works on Sally! I'm his gopher/wrench girl/cheerleader.)

He got the starter on, and then he put the new wheels on....

And Sally got out of the barn! Now, this is what Sally looks like, we got her a replica set of the original '67 Mustang chrome wheels and hung up her hubcaps...

I seriously doubt if she'll ever want them back!

Today, she got to go for a ride, after I drove to Lansing and back for the Tax Day Tea Party. Oh..my....word! It was sunny and over 80 degrees out there!
(Yes, the top was down for the ride.)

Me LIKEY!

I like very much! Lucky you for sure!!! My dream car is a 64 1/2 mustang or a 1985 Grand Prix. I've had the Grand Prix and it was gorgeous and some day I hope to win the lottery so I can get the stang. LOL

I love Mustangs too! Sometimes, I imagine myself, riding a black pre 66 Mustang and the wind is playing with my hair. LOL

Sally is sa-weeeet! Great face lift on Sally, it looks so natural. Soon Nancy Pelosi will be knockin' on yer door askin' fer the name of yer plastic surgeon, LOL! Don't give it to 'er. Nancy could never look as good as Sally, as much as I'm sure she wishes to! If we still owned my hubby's old high-chool Gremlin, I'd name her after Nancy, doncha think?
