Autumn Beauty! Gorgeous Ornamental Cabbage

I have never seen anything like this ornamental cabbage I got this year.

It is wide at the base and goes up into the exact shape of Christmas tree...

And at the top is a big bunch of lavender and yellow blooms!

The chillier it gets, the prettier they become and they love the rain.

And the night before this photo, it had rained, and still there were raindrops nestled in the blooms...

The "tree" is so tall, and the blooms so heavy, that it leans like the tower of Pisa...!

Fall is just so majestic in so many ways...the colors so vivid.

I just wish I could wax just one bloom and keep it all winter long...

Autumn...such a gorgeous season.

Joni, This is a gorgeous plant! So very pretty. Glad I stopped by and got to see this beauty.

Needed some beauty after the election this week.

God bless,

Such a beautiful reminder of God's presence! Just what I needed to lift my spirits after the heartache on Tuesday.

Simple beauty. Like others who've already commented, I needed to see this today. Grieving is over; now it's time to get to work. God's still good; Jesus is still king!

was it just a regular one growing tall? Makes me want to try one next summer. Do you plant from seed or buy a plant? I'm so glad you steered me to Millington, I've been searching for just one really great old quilt that I could afford to cherish and I found one! A bargain at $50, the check-out ladies couldn't believe my bargain, said it could easily have gone for $200! It's a queen size star pattern, with white sashing, all the stars are scrappy in color, no two alike, and completely hand stitched and in perfect shape except for some slight yellowing around some edges, but not worn at all, I'll work on seeing if I can wash some of the stains on some windy day where it will dry quickly and not run colors. So glad you sent me there, and my sister and I each bought something from your sale, what your niece in Ill. packaged up in her vintage gift "baskets".
