October had a party,
The leaves by the hundreds came...
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
--George Cooper
It's a wet, drizzly, foggy morning here. They say sunshine and 70's for this afternoon....one would never believe it by looking out the window!
Luke had a doctor appointment (routine) this morning and we've been there and back already, now on to some cleaning and baking. I promised a meal to a friend who's taking daily care of her mother after a bad fall resulted in a broken pelvis. So I think I'll make them a chicken pot pie and a German apple cake for dinner. So, I better get busy because we may have guests for overnight, too! That means I've got to wash sheets and fluff the pillows.
Hope you all have a wonderful fall day.
XOXO

YUM! That sounds like a wonderful dinner. What a good friend you are. Your house is probably like a B&B to stay over at---LUCKY GUESTS!! You have a good day too. I am going to make some pumpkin muffins they were talking about on Family Life Radio today. Keeps my mind off of hubby flying to NCarolina on business today!
You have been busy! Sweet of you to help out your friend, what a wonderful blessing.

We're waiting for the October party to get started here in our backwoods, but darn everybody is late!
Yum, I love squash of any kind. I think displays with dual purpose are the best. Eye candy and tummy yummy!
Blessings, Misha
