It was where our children grew up. We then decided to buy a little larger home and were right next to neighbors. You could hear them talking, coughing, barking dogs, and lawn machinery going constantly. We finally bought a home with 3 acres and are very, very happy here. Most times it is so quiet and peaceful all we hear is a distant train whistle. We could never live in a close subdivision ever again.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1606161041749648789.post-37390651561310284412012-12-06T21:13:47.951-05:002012-12-06T21:13:47.951-05:00I always wanted to live in a barn it was a dream o...I always wanted to live in a barn it was a dream of me and my husband. When we would dream about it in our first years of marriage he drew of the plans. About 5 years ago our dream became a reality. God is so good! My husband is a pastor so we have lived in a lot of houses and apartments some good some not so good but we learned to be content in all circumstances.Glendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03485528044461966430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1606161041749648789.post-83806084215886068802012-12-06T09:04:55.797-05:002012-12-06T09:04:55.797-05:00I grew up in government housing after my parents d...I grew up in government housing after my parents divorced. I used to walk down tree lined streets in the town where we lived looking in windows of large, 2-story Victorians, and imagining what it would be like to live in houses like that with families. Today, I have my own home like that with my own family. God sometimes gives us the desires of our heart, and tho this was mine I've found many more things of greater value. But I'm amazed that HE remembered! :D
DebbieDebbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04612935931627314524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1606161041749648789.post-63075100331917103552012-12-05T16:58:53.684-05:002012-12-05T16:58:53.684-05:00I hate to travel. My husband and I have lived in 13 different houses since we've been married. Not ONE of them had a staircase . . . all ranch style homes. I loved it. Now, I live in a subdivision that is slowly going down hill. I have a 3 bedroom modular home that I rent out. I no longer want to rent to others so I will be selling the home I live in and moving into the modular home. I just finished remodeling it. I will be happy there.Ritahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07287238810628574373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1606161041749648789.post-37926514062074494702012-12-05T15:03:25.347-05:002012-12-05T15:03:25.347-05:00I never wanted to live in a tri-level, but lived i...I never wanted to live in a tri-level, but lived in two! I did, however, have a house built, to look like an old farmhouse, and it is on a few acres.
I'm very happy with my home.
I've had people ask if the house is old, or just built to look old, so I guess it worked.
nancyrEchoes From the Hillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03012454336216415478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1606161041749648789.post-71074677331198551022012-12-05T14:53:00.800-05:002012-12-05T14:53:00.800-05:00Since you started by talking about a house, I'...Since you started by talking about a house, I'll pick up that thread! I am far more attached to my grandmother's old house in Grand Rapids than my childhood home there. My grandfather built it in 1920. It is in terrible condition now; it's been a rental since the late 'sixties. My heart still holds it the way it used to look. Mary Ann Potterhttp://www.artist45.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
